Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone will be developed for the PC with ease of play in mind. The PC version also features a fast, arcade-style Quidditch game to further immerse players in the magical world of Harry Potter. Many of the adventures in the PC version are dynamic, leading to environments that change over time, such as moving stairs and relocating classrooms. The PC version features an array of stealth-based gameplay as well as traditional encounters as players guide Harry through the halls of Hogwarts, sneaking around to avoid confrontations with nosey characters like Filch and Peeves.
Along the way, Harry will explore the halls of Hogwarts and its surrounding grounds, study to be a wizard, learn Quidditch, collect objects to solve puzzles, become skilled at spells and potions, discover secret passages and locations, and interact with memorable characters from J.K. Players take the role of Harry Potter as he enrolls in Hogwarts and embarks on a journey to unlock the secrets of his own magical abilities. Encounter breathtaking challenges and unforgettable characters from J.K. Be Harry Potter, wizard-in-training, learning to master all things magical in a world filled with adventure, fun, and danger. Leave the nonmagical world behind and enroll in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for the PC. If you are a Harry P fan then you won't be disappointed, if you are looking for a challenging game action adventure game then you might want to look elsewhere. The only criticism is that the game is very short and even younger kids will complete it relatively quickly. The graphics look pretty good, but the real winner is the sound, the music is just perfect and the eerie sound effects makes you believe that you really are at Hogwarts School.
The action begins in Diagon alley with our hero purchasing the supplies he needs to attend school, from then on it follows the storyline in the book pretty faithfully.Įach level of the game concentrates on a different aspect of the story: attending classes (such as charms, herbology, defence against the dark arts, potions with the evil Snape) visiting Hagrid having to collect Bertie Botts beans so that Fred & George Weasley will give you Wizard's cards which you need to beat He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named win points for your house and, of course, learn and play Quidditch. It follows the Jr wizard's first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the focus is on the puzzle aspects of the game. Each Harry Potter game plays to the format's strengths and has different elements in the gameplay the PC version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is no different.
